From the monkey parrot to the RAVEN LOON by Martin Durkin
http://ift.tt/1MNE1Ie From the monkey parrot to the RAVEN LOON By Crazy Irishman I am not a gimmick writing poems or pomes in a store front window a passerby of my own reflection as people look in at me promoting myself like a monkey or pet store parrot while believing the critics as they compare me the grumpy man old to past laureates dead and gone themselves whom i never met but still in words adore they were them and i am me i am a redwing black bird swimming the skies dive bombing the cat tails in marshland flying past the loons knowing their insanity i am the generation lost to technology where rock stardom and money without a pay cheque does not exist i am lost on part time work needing 4 jobs and taking on none i am the house manager while wife takes on the 40hr week and i write to her and to the electronic age my own livingroom window my basement floodlights while people outside walk the sidewalks not knowing i am alive down here writing to them to myself dive bombing my own sanity and needing nothing else but the cat tails and marshlands
