Music icon Prince died on Thursday (April 21st) at the age of 57. News of his death was first reported by TMZ after his body was found at his Paisley Park home in Chanhassen, Minnesota. His publicist confirmed the news in a statement which read, "It is with profound sadness that I am confirming that the legendary, iconic performer, Prince Rogers Nelson, has died at his Paisley Park residence this morning at the age of 57. There are no further details as to the cause of death at this time." CAREER HIGHLIGHTS He achieved international stardom with his album 1999 which was released in 1982. He won seven Grammys. He sold over 100 million records. He won an Oscar in 1985 for Best Original Score for Purple Rain. He performed at the 2007 Super Bowl. He was inducted into the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame in 2004.
