MEDIA FEEDBACK for OVERTURES "Artifacts": 10 / 10 "… the third album is the album of maturity … it's been that way for many, many bands and, apparently, OVERTURES can not escape this rule … crafting in this 2016 a disc, nothing short of perfect, a nice Power-Heavy product that will appeal not only to lovers of kind, but music lovers in general." (Antonio Moliterni) 9 / 10 "I’m smitten by this album. “Artifacts” should be Overtures’ stairway to stardom." (Power Of Metal.dk) 9 / 10 "… Where Devin Townsend's genius meets Michael Romeo's technique and Tobias Sammet's fantasy ... with a sound mastering without leaks and an outstanding musical skill …" (Metalpit.it) 4 / 5 "The combination of traditional / classic and modern they are doing incredibly well … then I just repeat my thoughts on the album cover!" (Get Metal) 4 / 5 "Michele Guaitoli is a great vocalist and reminds me of both Geoff Tate and Roy Khan and as for the rest of the band members themselves; not much can be said except for absolutely brilliant … the production and mixing really come across like a well finished product instead of being over polished and the flowing and transition between heavy riffs, leads, and melodic passages in the album is working perfect … the balance and the variation in all the songs makes that you most likely will listen to them many times … I don't really dislike anything about this album … these guys are now probably among my favourite Metal/Prog bands of today and absolutely worth checking out!" (Melodic.net) 8,5 / 10 "The fact is that "Artifacts" is an extremely interesting album all the way … this record is so difficult to be categorized; it includes a classic Metal sound in it, strong progressive 'touches', big melodies, great guitar work and a 'modern' Metal approach that makes it a must have for each and every single fan of the Metal scene in general." (Heavy Paradise) 8,5 / 10 (Headbangers Latinoamerica) 8 / 10 "The band blatantly mixes melodic Prog with Power Metal, injecting some Gothic Metal to boot … best described as something like Nightwish meeting Arrayan Path with a stout handful of Avantasia … should you buy the record? If you like a quirky Progressive Power Metal full of melodic hooks and turns, never leaving you bored at any moment, go for it … if you are not sure, give it a try anyway … they are good, you know … and we got ourselves a contender for the Top 10 list of 2016."
